Baroque meets Zeitgeist in this patrician house, in which medieval architecture and originally preserved elements from the Renaissance and Baroque period are skilfully combined with modern hotel comfort.
The location in the "Hernngasse", the medieval boulevard of Rothenburg, could not be more suitable. The imposing construction, former headquarter of the significant patrician family Bezold of Rothenburg was built approximately 850 years ago and ranks among the oldest residential buildings of the city. In the rose garden, on one of Rothenburg's most beautiful terraces in the biggest privately owned old town garden, guests enjoy their coffee or a glass of wine.
Within only a few steps you can stroll through the magnificent Herrngasse, where once King Konrad III. resided, you can walk through the castle garden and enjoy the unique view over the Tauber Valley and the city silhouette and you can listen to an organ concert in the Church of St. Jakob with its famous Riemenschneideraltar.
To be able to offer our guests special moments through the combination of a historic patrician house and modern living comfort with air condition, lift, WIFI, or coffee tray
The BurgGartenpalais is a paradigm for sustainability. Experienced workmen from Rothenburg and the near surroundings help keep valuable historic rooms like our hotel hall in its original condition for 400 years.
